Breeders’ Cup Odds Update: Elate to Take on Boys

The mare Elate will take on the boys at the Breeders Cup Classic (G1), trying to become only the second woman to win the race.

Guarana at +600 might be the second alternative in ancient Distaff wagering, however, she could end up in the Breeders Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (G1).
The filly won her first three career starts, including the CCA Oaks (G1), but suffered her first defeat when second to Street Band from the Cotillion (G1) in Parx Racing in her final outing.

Shancelot is the choice for its Sprint at +300. The colt got run down at the wire in the Santa Anita Sprint Championship (G1) in his final start, defeated a head.
The winner was Omaha Beach, that was making his first start since winning the Arkansas Derby (G1) at April. He missed the Triple Crown races and came back . The colt is currently +400 in ancient for the Sprint but could wind up in the Dirt Mile or Classic.
