Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson is a MMA fighter — and hardcore gamer

(CNN) — Demetrious Johnson is well-known for his quick hands at the ring, however as soon as the gloves come off his palms are fairly nimble too.
“Mighty Mouse”Johnson left UFC for ONE Championship in 2018 and as part of his movement became the origin of their newest esports venture.
The prior UFC flyweight winner has had a longstanding endorsement with Microsoft Xbox and is a hardcore gamer, even a Twitch streamer.
“Esports as a whole has come on leaps and bounds from when it first started,” Johnson told CNN Sport’s Patrick Snell.
“At the start, people were just like’no one is going to see someone else play video games. It’s absolutely absurd. I’m not likely to do it.’
“But now you’ve got companies such as Twitch and Mixer who are creating so much earnings with advertising revenue from such incredible streamer personalities.
“A great deal of Just One Championship’s lovers are millennials and millennials adore gaming. I like gaming so that I was like’yeah I completely support this.'”
